Annual Fund

The HCMS Annual Fund kicks off each year in October.  The Annual Fund makes continuous school improvement possible through the generous gifts of past and present HCMS families.  We ask all of our families to act as stewards for the programs continued excellence.  Our goal is to achieve 100% participation.

What is the Annual Fund?
It is a fundraising method used by most independent schools and colleges in order to balance budgets and keep tuitions down.  U.S. norms are that 8%-11% of operating expenses come from annual giving.  The annual fund will ensure continuous school improvement in both academics and physical facilities.

What are the benefits of annual giving?
One benefit of donating money to the school is that donations are tax deductible.  Our goal as a Montessori school is to provide an excellent Montessori program to our community.  To accomplish our goals we must plan for the future growth and development of the program.  Tuition is used to provide day-to-day operations but is not sufficient to cover the costs associated with growth and program development.
